  • 2010-2011 Community Advocacy Grants Application Available Now!

    The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living (TFL) announces the availability of up to $658,000 in Community Advocacy Grants to foster community involvement in reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, preventing youth tobacco initiation and reducing tobacco-related health disparities.  

    TFL Community Advocacy Grants will be awarded statewide in amounts up to $18,000 each. The funding period for the Community Advocacy Grants is for one year and will be from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.

    The deadline for submission of completed applications is March 24, 2010, 4:00 p.m. CST. Submission instructions can be found in the RFA document.

  • Youth Across Louisiana to Come Together for the Third Annual Youth Summit

    The Third Annual Louisiana Youth Summit on Tobacco 2010 will be a one day event held at Northwestern University on Feb 27, 2010. This will be a fun and interactive summit that will help youth explore ways to promote healthy behaviors by through art, music, dance or drama. Check back for updates on the Youth Summit.

  • Kick Butts Day is Coming Soon!

    Kick Butts Day is March 24, 2010 and youth across Louisiana will stand up, speak out and seize control against Big Tobacco by conducting multiple community improvement activities. This year's Kick Butts Day theme is "Up to HERE with butts." Stay tuned for more details on this year's Kick Butts Day activities.
