From Russel Deroche, Jr.
I am extremely pleased with the effort to have smoke-free law on the books, however it does not go far enough. A public place should include ALL places where the public meets. This should include any business, except possibly a tobacco shop or smoke room. Bars, especially, should be smoke-free, since patrons are there for long times and many are filled to capacity and beyond. I think it is time for general public polls that ask the tough questions so that politicians will know how the public, they are supposed to serve, feels.
