COMMUNITIES OF COLOR

The L.I.F.T.U.P. Communities of Color (COC) program is a comprehensive initiative that engages diverse community organizations and individuals in North Louisiana in planning and recommending strategies to reduce tobacco use among disparate populations. COCs plans include: * Sustaining the Communities of Color Network for tobacco prevention in North Louisiana

  • Conducting a needs assessment of tobacco-related disparities in North Louisiana and establishing baseline data
  • Establishing a five-year action plan to reduce tobacco related disparities in North Louisiana based on the results of the comprehensive needs assessment
  • Developing a process for communicating and disseminating information to Communities of Color members in North Louisiana

COC is implemented within a partnership between TFL, Office of Public Health and the Communities of Color Coordinator representing the network in North Louisiana.
