SMOKE-FREE JAZZFEST SERIES IN NEW ORLEANS

Musicians are among those that are exposed to the highest level of secondhand smoke of any occupational or demographic group. Most musicians are forced to earn their living performing in smoke-filled venues that pose serious health risks. MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

Musicians and employees who work in a bar or casino are disproportionately affected by tobacco due to being forced to earn their living in smoke-filled venues that pose serious health risks; risks that may result from breathing toxic secondhand smoke while at work.

Are you a musician and/or do you work in a bar or casino and believe you deserve a healthier working environment? Are you interested in advocating for stronger smoke-free ordinances that will protect you at work? TFL is committed to ensuring that your voice is heard.

If you are ready to take a stand for a smoke-free workplace and take action in your community to strengthen local smoke-free air policies, we can provide you with support and resources to make this happen. Share your story.

WANTED: YOUR STORY ABOUT SECONDHAND SMOKE EXPOSURE

TFL is looking for your experiences with secondhand smoke and why you appreciate The Louisiana Smoke Free Air Act. Are you a worker who has been exposed to secondhand smoke where you work? Do you have friends or live with a family member who smokes around you? If you have a story about why you love The Louisiana Smoke-Free Air Act or how secondhand smoke exposure has affected you or a loved one, contact us today.
